Aanand Charitable Trust

Our programmes are based on the specific needs of the community. It has been found that the most disadvantaged group in India are the millions of street children who lives or work on the street, because of poverty as discarded by their parents. They are invariably malnourished, receive scant education or medical treatment and are involved in child labor from an early age.

The problems of street children are chronic, sprawling slums and acute poverty, there are hundreds of thousands of destitute, runaway and orphaned children living without food, some are hand to mouth, for them education is an unattainable luxury or an irrelevance. They lose their childhoods and have little hope for a better future.

ACT organizes customized health camps extensively in offering comprehensive health services – curative, preventive, primitive and referral, to a large number of people in selected intervention areas. All the above is definitely possible only by one main tool i.e., Education for underprivileged Children.
